Bone Level SLActive® Implants
Bone level implants are placed at the level of the exposed bone. The mucosa is sutured over the implant head. After healing, the implant is exposed in a small, second procedure to begin prosthetic restoration.
SLActive is an implant surface whose initial biological response after implantation has been clinically proven. The surface is designed to maximise healing forces to ensure a better bone base for implant treatment.
Roxolid® SLActive® Implants
The latest development is a material called Roxolid™, which is composed of titanium and zirconium. Roxolid® is an innovative material specifically developed for dental implantology. Its significantly improved stability and high mechanical load capacity make it possible to manufacture implants with smaller diameters.
Roxolid® SLA® Implants.
The so-called SLA surface (Sandblasting with Large grit followed by Acid etching) is created by coarse sandblasting. The result is a macro-roughness of the titanium surface. This is followed by a strong acid bath for several minutes to achieve an optimal implant surface/topography with which bone cells can bond.
