Treatment Procedure
After thorough diagnostics and planning, the implant is placed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia, sedation or, if desired, under general anaesthesia into the jawbone. During an individually determined healing period - typically 4 to 12 weeks - the bone firmly fuses with the implant. During this time, patients receive a provisional dental prosthesis. After healing, the implant functions like an artificial tooth root and provides a secure base for attaching your new teeth - crowns, bridges or prostheses. Like natural teeth, implant-supported teeth transfer the chewing forces evenly into the jawbone. The bone is subjected to healthy loading.
Implant-supported teeth look like your own. They are adapted in shape and colour to the surrounding teeth and blend harmoniously into the remaining dentition. The advantages speak for themselves: high wearing comfort, unrestricted chewing function and natural taste sensation.
